North Star Interiors & Design is an Amsterdam-based interior design studio. We only collect personal information that is relevant to our relationship with you or that you choose to provide to us. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, enquiry and correspondence information, potential project details, location where relevant, consent preferences, information submitted through website forms, and limited technical information generated when you use the website.

HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION
We may receive personal information when you contact North Star by email, submit a form through the website, ask to be notified when the full North Star website and portfolio launch, communicate with us about a potential or existing project, or otherwise choose to provide information to us. Some limited technical information may also be processed automatically by services used to operate and host the website.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We may use personal information to respond to enquiries, communicate with prospective and existing clients, understand and discuss potential projects, provide and administer services, maintain appropriate business records, operate, secure and improve the website, comply with legal or regulatory obligations, and send the one-time website launch notification where you have specifically asked us to do so. We do not use launch-notification consent as permission to send unrelated marketing.

OUR LAWFUL BASES
Where the General Data Protection Regulation and related Dutch data-protection law apply, we process personal information only where we have an appropriate legal basis. Depending on the circumstances, this may include your consent, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract with you, complying with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business, communicating with clients and prospective clients, and maintaining an effective website, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

WEBSITE LAUNCH NOTIFICATION
If you choose to join the “Follow the next chapter” list, we will use the email address you provide solely to send you a notification when the full North Star website and portfolio are live. This is based on your consent. Your email address will not be used through this sign-up for any other marketing. You can withdraw your consent at any time before the notification is sent by contacting privacy@northstarinteriordesign.nl. After the purpose of the list has been completed, information collected specifically for the launch notification will be deleted or anonymised unless there is another lawful reason for us to retain it.

WEBSITE ANALYTICS AND COOKIES
North Star aims to keep tracking on this website to a minimum. The website may use privacy-conscious website analytics and essential technical functionality provided through its hosting and website platform. We do not currently use advertising pixels or behavioural advertising trackers on this introductory website. If the technologies used by the website change in a way that requires additional information or consent, this Privacy Policy and, where necessary, the website’s consent controls will be updated.

SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell personal information. We may share or make personal information available to trusted service providers where this is reasonably necessary to operate North Star and the website. These may include providers of website hosting and website forms, business email and productivity services, data storage and IT services, and professional services where required. Information collected solely for the one-time website launch notification will not be retained indefinitely after that purpose has been completed.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or another competent supervisory authority where applicable.

We take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal information against accidental loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we aim to use services and working practices appropriate to the nature of the information we handle.

The website may contain links to third-party websites and North Star social-media profiles. Those websites and platforms operate under their own privacy practices and policies. North Star is not responsible for how third-party services process information once you leave this website.
